1. Zero Data Persistence Architecture

PreConsult is engineered from the ground up to operate with zero persistent storage of personal health information (PHI):

No User Accounts: You do not need to register, log in, or provide identifiable contact details (such as email, name, or phone number) to use PreConsult.
Session-Only In-Memory Processing: Any information you enter during your session (symptoms, medical history, lifestyle factors) is held temporarily in volatile memory solely to generate your clinical questions and summary report.
Immediate Data Wipe: When you finish downloading your summary report or close your browser tab/window, all session data is permanently erased from memory. No databases store your health inputs.

2. AI Question Generation & Third-Party Processing

To provide relevant clinical follow-up questions, PreConsult utilizes Google Vertex AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite):

The clinical information you enter is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS connection to Google Vertex AI enterprise endpoints solely to generate contextual follow-up questions.
No personal identifiers (names, addresses, IDs) are sent to the AI service.
Data processed via enterprise Google Vertex AI is not retained by Google or used to train public machine learning models.

3. Cookies & Local Analytics

PreConsult is designed to be privacy-first:

No Tracking Cookies: We do not use third-party advertising cookies or persistent tracking profiling.
Language Preference: Your preferred interface language (English or Portuguese) may be stored in a minimal browser session state to improve your viewing experience.
Aggregate Technical Logs: Standard web server logs may temporarily collect anonymous technical data (e.g., IP address, browser user-agent, request timestamp) for network security and rate-limiting purposes. These logs are automatically purged and contain no medical data.

4. Information Security

We enforce strict security safeguards to protect data in transit:

All web communication is encrypted using high-grade Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
PDF report generation is processed in real time and delivered directly to your device browser.

5. Children's Privacy

PreConsult is intended for general adult audiences and individuals preparing for healthcare consultations under adult guidance. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
